RAFFERTY RESCUE PET OF THE WEEK: Francesca!

Why, hello there. My name is Francesca! I’m a sweet 8 year old lady, coming in at 13 pounds of adorableness. I was found abandoned, wandering a highway in Georgia, in need of lifesaving medical care. I found my way to Providence Animal Center, where I was able to get surgery to remove a protruding eye, which will prevent future infection, as well as urgent care for skin allergies and dental disease. Boy, was I a mess!

Thanks to all of the love and care I received from my friends at PAC, I was able to focus on showing off how lovely I am. Although I am so cute and tiny, going on walks with one-eye can be intimidating for me, and I’m shy when meeting new people. Being a homeless senior pet, with one eye, makes me an underdog – but I’m capable of giving so much love and life to one lucky family! And guess what?! Right after I posed in the car, with the wind sweeping through my fur, I met my FOREVER family! That’s right – I cruised right on home!

Although you may not be able to meet me, my doggy friends at Providence Animal Center are all still waiting to meet you! Head to ProvidenceAC.org/adopt/dogs to see them, and schedule a doggy matchmaking appointment to meet them at ProvidenceAC.org/AdoptADog! Remember: dogs with physical disabilities may need something extra from you or your home, but they have just as much, if not more, love to give as other homeless pets.

Tail wags and nose boops,

Francesca

As of Jan. 6, our Center is temporarily closed. We hope to re-open within 3 weeks.
