Why, hello there! My name is Dixie Doo, and, just like my name, I’m sweet as can be! I just traveled to Providence Animal Center all the way from Florida, relieving overcrowded shelters in the midst of Hurricane Isaias and I am oh, so happy to be here. I am 60 pounds of cuteness and approximately 3 years old. While my friends here are still getting to know more about me, I am happy to report that I loved sitting in the car, getting tasty treats and meeting lots of new people here at PAC!

What my peppy exterior may not tell you is that I had a really hard time before my big move. I was hit by a car when walking with my previous owner, and two kind Samaritans saw me collapse. My previous owner abandoned me, and those two kind women took me to a vet clinic to receive critical care. I was in foster care while healing, and my foster family reported that I love to be around people, go out for a run, or just hang out on the couch! While I left that rotten time in the past, what remains is a “wobble”. Sometimes I wobble while I walk, but I think it only adds to my charm!

If you would like to meet met, set up a matchmaking appointment at ProvidenceAC.org/AdoptADog! I just can’t wait to find my fur-ever people!!!

Tail wags and sloppy kisses,

Dixie Doo
