Ziggy

Gender: Male

Size: Medium

Age: Young Adult

Location: Kennels

“Lift up your hearts with a smile, lift up your feet with a dance, lift up your spirits with a song!” Do you know that song? It's one of my favorites, because here's what comes next: “It's family time, it's family time!”

I think Ziggy Marley wrote that song for me! It's a perfect fit: My name is Ziggy, I have a great smile, love to dance (and run and jump and play), and I'm full of spirit. Most importantly, I can't wait to have family time all the time. A family of my own is what I want most in the world.

I am 4 years old, weigh 47 pounds, and have another trait that I think makes me really special – I'm partially deaf. Being hard of hearing makes you really appreciate everything you have. For instance, I love the fresh air in my nose on a jog (I'd be a great running partner!), the savory taste of treats on their way down and that warm feeling I get all over when someone is petting me.

I'm looking for a family that's active, patient, and experienced with dogs like me. I already know sit, stay and come, but need a family committed to figuring out creative ways for us to communicate, since I can't hear verbal commands.

I would love a calm, quiet home with a fenced in yard. Do you work from home? Or maybe I can come to work with you? I'm so excited to find my person that chances are I'm not going to want to let you leave my sight once we connect! My friends at PAC think I would thrive in a home where I can be the only pet – what can I say, I want you all to myself! A human sibling could be fun, too, as long as they're at least 15 years old.
I recently had a sleepover with a foster family and they described me as a love bug who loves to snuggle on the couch and be near people. That's me, alright!
In case you're not sold yet (how is that possible?) I'm neutered, microchipped and up to date on my vaccinations. Bonus: someone is so excited for me to find a forever family that they sponsored my adoption fee, which means I can come home with you for free.
So, you're on your way over, right? Call PAC or come by to meet me – no appointment necessary!”

Even If You Can't Adopt, You Can Still Help!

    Foster Ziggy

Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.

No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.

    Sponsor Ziggy

Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!

Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
