“Hola friend! Thank you for stopping by to read about me! My name is Xena and I recently joined the adoptable doggie crew at Providence Animal Center’s lifesaving facility all the way from Puerto Rico! I am estimated to be around 5 months old and 20 pounds (& growing!)

I was very nervous and unsure of this new world I was living in upon arriving to the center. So I was scooped up by a fabulous foster mom who has been showing me that life up north is great! She takes me on walks and to puppy playgroups here at the center. I am slowly but surely gaining my confidence!

I am the package deal – I have age appropriate vaccines, I am spayed and microchipped!

In order to keep gaining confidence, my friends here think I will do best in a home that:

  • has another dog already so they can show me the ropes
  • a fenced in yard
  • children 10 years of age and older

If you are interested in setting up a time to meet in person, please send my new friend the foster coordinator a completed adoption application to foster@providenceac.org Then my people will call your people! My paws are crossed I will hear from you soon!”

Lots of Love,

Even If You Can't Adopt, You Can Still Help!

    Foster Xena

Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.

No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.

    Sponsor Xena

Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!

Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
