Meet PAC’s resident clown- Stitch! At 1.5 years old, Stitch has had an interesting life so far. He came to PAC in September 2018 from a shelter in Florida- he was removed from his house there at 8 months old in poor physical condition. He was covered in fleas and had a host of other minor medical issues (hair loss & parasites) that needed to be treated. He was lucky to land in a foster home that got him all better before he made the trip up north. His foster reported Stitch was friendly, cuddly, affectionate, playful and nervous. Stitch was adopted soon after arriving to PAC but that home wasn’t a good fit for Stitch, so he was returned to PAC’s care recently. All his personality traits from when he was a pup are still accurate today.
New things and lots of commotion can cause him some anxiety so Stitch wants to land himself in a quiet foster or adoptive home with loving & patient adults that will love him just the way he is and help him gain confidence.
Stitch is a fanatic about tennis balls and loves all types of other toys too- he’s adorable to watch play since he hops and gallops like a gazelle! He’s been great with most of the dogs he’s been around at the Center and would benefit from weekly outings to doggie day care when adopted. He is good in the car and has also done well meeting a few cats at the Center. Four-legged creatures seem to be more his speed than two-legged (doesn’t that apply to most of us?! LOL) so consider making him a part of your pack if you have other animals and want to add another!
Stitch appears to be healthy and is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and micro-chipped. You get a lot for free with our low adoption fee so pack up the car, come to Providence Animal Center and see if Stitch is the next pooch for your pack!

No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.
Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!
Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
