Why do I look like the proudest dog ever, you ask? Just so happens, I aced my eval! So yeah, I'm pretty psyched about this.
My name is Rudy, and I'm around 1 & 1/2 years old and about 38 pounds. I’m a newly adoptable pup at Providence Animal Center, but my story begins before this.
When I was just a puppy, a Good Samaritan found me at a park in Philly with a fractured leg. They took me to ACCT where PAC then scooped me up and had my leg all fixed up by the fantastic folks at UPenn (check out my puppy picture) with a special grant from the Richard Lichter Charity for Dogs. I healed up well and my wonderful foster family fell in love with me. Due to a major life change, they made the difficult decision to let PAC find a forever home for me that could better meet my needs. I'll definitely miss them, but I'm grateful for all the love they gave me while I was with them.
So about my eval…The PAC staff & volunteers describe me as a sweet, super smart, food-motivated, sensitive, affectionate busy bee! My ideal home will be with a family who is plenty active, so they can provide me with all the physical enrichment I can get. With my sweet disposition, they feel that I'd likely do well with kid roommates of any age! I just met a cat here the other day, and it could've gone better, so a kitty-free home would be best.
In my last home, I learned lots of commands, so I'd love to keep up with those and maybe even add some! I was also house-trained, crate trained and described as loyal, smart, athletic, quirky & loving. My absolute favorite toy was the Chuckit Ball, and I'm a fan of car rides!
Sounds pretty great, right? Besides all that, I'm all set to be a part of my new forever family – already up to date on my vaccines, neutered and microchipped!
So if I sound like I could be your new BFF and you're interested in meeting me in person, please schedule an appointment here. I have my bags all packed, I just need a home to love me.
P.S. Someone is so excited for me to find my fur-ever home, that they have sponsored my adoption fee! That means I can join your family today for FREE! Woohoo!!

Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.
No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.
Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!
Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
