Hiya! Have you ever seen a dog as adorable as me?! Can you believe I’m homeless and am waiting for a wonderful person or family to adopt me? Great dogs like me end up in animal shelters every day- I know, it’s so hard to believe but it’s true!

My name is Max, and I just joined the adoptable doggy crew at Providence Animal Center from ACCT in Philly (#ACCTtoPAC). I'm around 4 years old, about 12 pounds (don't let the fluff fool you, I'm fit and fiesty), and I'm all set to move right into your heart & home today – already:

  • neutered
  • microchipped
  • up to date on vaccinations

The staff would love to match you with your new best friend forever – and hopefully that's me! I'm playful and rambunctious. The staff think I would do best in a home without cats. They seem untrustworthy, maybe dangerous, so I like to let them know they aren't welcomed with my barks! The staff here at PAC feels I would do best with college-aged hoomans and older. I could live with the right doggo roommate.

If you are interested in meeting me in person, please stop by the adoption center today – no appointment is necessary. My paws are crossed I will see you very soon!

XO – Max

P.S. A generous donor has sponsored my adoption fee. That means I can join your family today for FREE! Yippee!!

Adoption center hours of operation are: Tuesday-Friday: 12–7PM, Saturday & Sunday: 12–5PM, closed Monday.

Providence Animal Center relies on adoption fees and donations to save pets! Adoption fees vary per pet. To find out this pet’s adoption fee or for more information, please call the Adoption Center with this pet’s ID number.

It's so easy to adopt from PAC- once a match is made, you fill out an application and can go home the same day with your new pet! Visit our how to adopt section to learn more about our adoption process.

How to Adopt

Walk-in adoptions are back at PAC! Stop by our Adoption Center during our hours of operation Tuesday-Sunday to meet our available pets. Be sure to check the LOCATION of the pet you are interested in prior to coming in because some pets currently reside in foster homes. To meet a pet in a foster home, a meeting must be set up with our foster coordinator by filling out the adoption profile in the pet's bio.

View most of our adoptable dogs here and cats through this link. Once you see a pet you like, follow the instructions in his/her bio to schedule a meeting. For updates about when puppies & kittens will be available, be sure to follow us on Facebook.

Thank you for your understanding and please consider donating today to help our lifesaving work continue during this challenging time!

Even If You Can't Adopt, You Can Still Help!

Foster Max

Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.

No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.

Sponsor Max

Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!

Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
