Howdy y'all! Thank you for stopping by to read about me over this thing you hoomans call the internet. I recently joined the adoptable doggy crew at Providence Animal Center's lifesaving facility from an overcrowded shelter in Florida. I am hoping you will stop by soon to meet me in person!
My name is Maura, and I'm around 1 year old and about 46 pounds. I'm all set to join my new family – already:
- spayed
- microchipped
- up to date on vaccinations
The staff & volunteers describe me as shy and sweet. However, the right doggy roommate could help me flourish. I have also met some feline friends here at the center and I could live with the right kitty roommate with a proper introduction, of course. My friends here at PAC feel I could live with hoomans middle school aged and older. And while I'm playful, I would benefit from a calm home.

How to Adopt
Walk-in adoptions are back at PAC! Stop by our Adoption Center during our hours of operation Tuesday-Sunday to meet our available pets. Be sure to check the LOCATION of the pet you are interested in prior to coming in because some pets currently reside in foster homes. To meet a pet in a foster home, a meeting must be set up with our foster coordinator by filling out the adoption profile in the pet's bio.
View most of our adoptable dogs here and cats through this link. Once you see a pet you like, follow the instructions in his/her bio to schedule a meeting. For updates about when puppies & kittens will be available, be sure to follow us on Facebook.

Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.
No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.

Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
