My momma always said, “Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.”

“Howdy there, my name is Forrest…ya know Forrest Gump! I am so happy to meet you over this internet thing! I’m a new arrival to Providence Animal Center from an overcrowded North Carolina shelter. My Momma always said you've got to put the past behind you before you can move on. So I am ready to move from here into my new forever home.

Shortly after arriving to the center, I was whisked away to a lovely foster home. My foster mom says that I am a very friendly and handsome boy…aww shucks! I enjoy the company of my doggie foster sister, we have a lot of fun together playing and running around in their yard. RUN FORREST RUN! But those feline things…I would rather not hang out with them.

Some other great things about me, I:

  • am estimated to be around 1 year old & 60 pounds
  • am crate trained
  • ride well in the car
  • am curious, love treats, seem eager to please, playful, attention-getter
  • would make a great running partner
  • LOVE to cuddle

As if all that isn't enough already, I am also the package deal – neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. My adoption day is all I can think about, please don’t make me wait too long! If you are interested in meeting me, please email a completed adoption application to my friend the foster coordinator: foster@providenceac.org I hope to hear from you soon!

Lots of love & slobbery kisses,

Even If You Can't Adopt, You Can Still Help!

    Foster Forrest

Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.

No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.

    Sponsor Forrest

Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!

Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
