Hello, there! I'm Ford, and I'm really happy to meet you! I've been at PAC for about a year now, and I am SUPER ready to go home with you.
In the kennels, I may act like I'm built tough, but I'm actually a really sensitive guy who would love a quiet place to call my own. I'm looking for a home where I can cuddle in my favorite chair, look out a window, and watch the world go by. I'm a very social boy who wants all of my human family's attention. I will need to be your only pet, but I'm so free with the kisses you'll never even notice there's only one of me! Bring your whole family to meet me, if your kids are middle school and up you’re my perfect match.
I would thrive in a home with a fenced in yard, and a privacy fence would be ideal. I have had some dog friends here at PAC, but I'd prefer to have your home all to myself and a privacy fence would help keep me from yelling at the neighbor dogs to get off my lawn.
My friends here say I'm really smart, and that I would love taking classes with my people. My friends are helping me learn that crates are good, and I'm hoping that my future family will continue helping me feel comfortable with them. I'm already great in the car, and house trained! I even ask to go out, no matter how new the environment is to me. My friends also say that I am silly. I LOVE to play with my people and could do it all day. I really love a good scratch, too, and will lean way into it if you find the right spot. (Hint: butt scratches are my favorite.)
I was so excited to tell you all about my personality that I forgot to tell you that I'm 5 years old, 54 pounds, neutered, and up to date on all of my shots. Also, someone loves me so much that they've sponsored my adoption fee. And that means that I can go home for free with the right family.
I'm currently enjoying a little vacation with one of PAC's fabulous fosters. So, if it seems like I could be a good fit for your family, please complete the form below. I'll be so happy to meet you!

Providence Animal Center relies on adoption fees and donations to save pets! Adoption fees vary per pet. To find out this pet’s adoption fee or for more information, please call the Adoption Center with this pet’s ID number.
It's so easy to adopt from PAC- once a match is made, you fill out an application and can go home the same day with your new pet! Visit this link to learn more about our adoption process.
Walk-in adoptions are back at PAC! Stop by our Adoption Center during our hours of operation Tuesday-Sunday to meet our available pets. Be sure to check the LOCATION of the pet you are interested in prior to coming in because some pets currently reside in foster homes. To meet a pet in a foster home, a meeting must be set up with our foster coordinator by filling out the adoption profile in the pet's bio.
View most of our adoptable dogs here and cats through this link. Once you see a pet you like, follow the instructions in his/her bio to schedule a meeting. For updates about when puppies & kittens will be available, be sure to follow us on Facebook.
Thank you for your understanding and please consider donating today to help our lifesaving work continue during this challenging time!
Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.
No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.
Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!
Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
