Hi, all! Have you ever seen a dog as mesmerizing as me?! Can you believe I’m homeless and am waiting for a wonderful person or family to adopt me? Great dogs like me end up in animal shelters every day- I know, it’s so hard to believe but it’s true!

My name is Fern, and I just joined the adoptable doggy crew at Providence Animal Center from Florida. That's the sunshine state if you didn't know. I'm around 10 months old, about 42 pounds, and I'm all set to move right into your heart & home today – already spayed, microchipped & up to date on vaccinations.

All the folks here are still getting to know me, but so far I have done well with my dog meets. I have done well in reading the other doggos energy and know when to play bow or who wants to wrestle. As for cats, no thank you. They aren't my cup of tea. I am sometimes misunderstood but I'm playful and an attention getter. I still have a lot to learn, so the staff think I would do best with young adults (think college aged or older). I'm looking for a quiet home to show me the ropes.

The staff would love to match you with your new best friend forever – and hopefully that's me! If you are interested in meeting me in person, please stop by the adoption center today – no appointment is necessary. My paws are crossed I will see you very soon!

Love ya!

Fern

P.S. Someone is so excited for me to find my fur-ever home, that they have sponsored my adoption fee! That means I can join your family today for FREE! Woohoo!!

How to Adopt

Walk-in adoptions are back at PAC! Stop by our Adoption Center during our hours of operation Tuesday-Sunday to meet our available pets. Be sure to check the LOCATION of the pet you are interested in prior to coming in because some pets currently reside in foster homes. To meet a pet in a foster home, a meeting must be set up with our foster coordinator by filling out the adoption profile in the pet's bio.

View most of our adoptable dogs here and cats through this link. Once you see a pet you like, follow the instructions in his/her bio to schedule a meeting. For updates about when puppies & kittens will be available, be sure to follow us on Facebook.

Thank you for your understanding and please consider donating today to help our lifesaving work continue during this challenging time!

Even If You Can't Adopt, You Can Still Help!

Foster Fern

Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.

No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.

Sponsor Fern

Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!

Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
