“Toto, I don’t think we are in Kansas anymore!”
“Howdy y’all my name is Dorothy and I am so happy to meet you! Thank you for stopping by to read about me! I followed the yellow brick road from an overcrowded Philly shelter to Providence Animal Center’s lifesaving facility! I am a pretty torti gal, estimated to be around 8 years old. My bags are packed and I am move in ready- I am up to date on my vaccines, I am spayed, litterbox-trained, and microchipped! I can be a little shy at first when I first meet people but I am very sweet once I feel comfortable. So I would prefer to live in a quiet home where I can lounge on the couch and enjoy my retirement years! Potentially I could live with the right cat and/or doggie roommate! As long as they understand my desire to lead a more low key and laid back life!
Providence’s Adoption Center has a large selection of animals for all types of homes and an expert match-making staff who perform thorough behavior evaluations. EVERY adoption includes the kitty’s spay/neuter surgery, a microchip and necessary vaccinations. The staff would love to match you with your new best friend forever – and hopefully, that’s me! So come on down to the adoption center to meet me in person – no appointment is necessary! XOXO Dorothy”
Come stop by! We highly encourage prospective adopters to visit the Adoption Center as many times as they like to find the best pet to match their home and lifestyle. It’s our goal to make a perfect match the first time! Once you find a pet and fall in love, our trained adoption associates & counselors will be happy to assist you with the adoption process.
Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.
No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.
Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!
Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
