Umm… Hi, there. Can you believe I’m homeless and am waiting for a wonderful person or family to adopt me? Great dogs like me end up in animal shelters every day- I know, it’s so hard to believe but it’s true!
My name is Capone, and I just joined the adoptable doggy crew at Providence Animal Center. I'm around 8 years old, a chunky 82 pounds, and I'm all set to move right into your heart & home today – already neutered, microchipped & up to date on vaccinations.
I'm not sure why I ended up here. I spent my life as a loyal friend and companion and I'm just heartbroken. The staff and volunteers are still getting to know me, but so far they describe me as shy and sensitive. They think that I would do best in a home that will give me time to decompress and feel safe & loved again. I'm looking for a home that is calm and quiet and the staff think I may be able to live with kids 12+.
I am lucky enough to be staying in a fabulous foster home while I wait for my forever family to find me. If you are interested in more information about me please complete the form below.
P.S. Someone loves me so much and have sponsored my adoption fees, which means I get to go to my forever home for free!! WoHoooo!!
Adoption center hours of operation are: Tuesday-Friday: 12–7PM, Saturday & Sunday: 12–5PM, closed Monday.
Providence Animal Center relies on adoption fees and donations to save pets! Adoption fees vary per pet. To find out this pet’s adoption fee or for more information, please call the Adoption Center with this pet’s ID number.
It's so easy to adopt from PAC- once a match is made, you fill out an application and can go home the same day with your new pet! Visit https://providenceac.org/adopt/how-to-adopt/ to learn more about our adoption process.
Walk-in adoptions are back at PAC! Stop by our Adoption Center during our hours of operation Tuesday-Sunday to meet our available pets. Be sure to check the LOCATION of the pet you are interested in prior to coming in because some pets currently reside in foster homes. To meet a pet in a foster home, a meeting must be set up with our foster coordinator by filling out the adoption profile in the pet's bio.
View most of our adoptable dogs here and cats through this link. Once you see a pet you like, follow the instructions in his/her bio to schedule a meeting. For updates about when puppies & kittens will be available, be sure to follow us on Facebook.
Thank you for your understanding and please consider donating today to help our lifesaving work continue during this challenging time!
Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.
No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.
Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!
Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
