Hi, there, and thanks for stopping by. My name is Winnie the Pooch, which the internet tells me means I'm a good boy! I'm 2 years old, 63 pounds, originally from North Carolina, and looking for a moderately active family where everyone is 8 years old and older. I'd really love to meet everyone in the family at the Center on my adoption day! I need to be your only pet, but I promise you won't even miss other dogs or cats.
My photos all make me out to be very serious, but that's just my RSF – Resting Serious Face. I can be a little more reserved when I first meet people. But after I've gotten to know you a bit, I enjoy a good cuddle and giving some kisses. I'm not going to clean your face – you have soap for that – but a few tender kisses every now and then never hurt anyone.
I'm also very curious, and a sometimes silly guy who likes to experience new things. I love sniffing while out on my walks because there is just so much to smell. And if you show me something is OK, like playground slides, I'm 100% willing to give it a go. On a recent walk with some friends, we met our local mail person who let me jump into their truck for a quick sniff around. It was my first time in a mail truck, and it was amazing! 10 out of 10 would recommend! I'd love to go on car rides with you, too. I find the car very relaxing.
I am a foodie and proud of it. You've got food, I'll eat it! I sometimes try to steal treats from my friends, especially if it's cheese, but I will also work for it. I've tried some agility at PAC and really like it. I also have friends who are teaching me “touch” and working on my leash walking skills. I really enjoy working for my treats, and would love to keep up my training with my forever family. But I also love playing, so don't make me work too hard, OK? Throw some tennis balls around for me or give me a rope toy to shake and I will be so happy.
OK, some last minute facts about me. I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccinations. Someone also loves me so much that they sponsored my adoption fee! And that means I can join your family today for free! I hope you'll come meet me soon.

Foster parents are always needed for kittens, dogs and puppies. Some pets need as little as 2 weeks of care while others may need a few months.
No matter how little or as much time as you can dedicate, there’s an animal that would benefit from your help.
Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of the adoption package. It will also waive the chosen animal’s adoption fee!
Pet sponsors receive updates about their sponsored pet and will be notified when that animal has found his or her forever home.
