Providence Animal Center (PAC) and Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals are pleased to announce they have affiliated. Both 100-plus-year-old organizations located in Delaware County, PAC and Francisvale will be collaborating to increase their impact, saving the lives of more animals and providing new and expanded services to the people who care for them.
In the spring of 2022, Francisvale reached out to PAC’s board for guidance, and after researching potential local partners, they concluded that PAC was the ideal organization to approach. PAC’s board entered into a confidential exploration phase of discussion, and during that time, PAC’s board learned everything possible about Francisvale’s history, mission, property and more. Ultimately, it was determined that the ideal arrangement would be an affiliation, where PAC becomes the parent organization, and Francisvale becomes a subsidiary, retaining its name, identity and historic grounds, surrounded by pet memorials.
A second campus allows PAC to expand its presence and programs as well as the capacity to care for more animals. Francisvale’s 21 dog kennels will provide PAC with 70 total kennels.
PAC’s mission is to offer exceptional, affordable and life-affirming rescue, adoption, medical care and training of companion animals and serve as a community resource that inspires others to embrace the human-animal bond. Moving to an affiliation with Francisvale is an important way PAC can expand its reach and honor the commitment to that mission.
As the implementation progresses and a few repairs on the Francisvale property, in Radnor, are completed, more information about this exciting affiliation will be shared.

We adopted him from Providence last November 2022. We call him Mikey and he is very intelligent. He tells us when he needs to go out; needs water; time to eat and bed time (of course he sleeps in bed with us). Listens well and plays with all his toys. His favorite toy is a stuffed lamb that squeaks. He loves to go out back in our fenced in yard. Loves being brushed and sitting for hours at the front screen door on nice days…He is the perfect dog for us and we love him very much.”

My experience with Providence has been fantastic thus far. Truffle's been doing awesome getting adjusted to his new home, and has been so well behaved! Thanks so much for helping bring this guy into my life!”
Oh, hey there! My name is Bentley, and I joined the adoptable kitty crew at Providence Animal Center through their affiliate shelter Francisvale. (Don’t worry, all cats were harnessed in the making of these photos 😉.) I have been living it up with my paw-some foster parents. They’ve made sure I’ve been on a strict diet and routine to help me with a few aspects of my life. Clearly, I want to work on my beach body. I was diagnosed with Diabetes a few years ago. Thanks to routine and dietary changes, I’ve gone into remission and have been insulin-free for 2.5 months! Isn’t that cat-tastic?! It means I no longer require daily medication. I am approximately 11 years old and 11 pounds of handsomeness. I absolutely love to be around people; in fact, they’re my favorite, but I also get along with other kitty friends. I love head-butting, making biscuits and getting good chin scratches. If you looked up the definition of “lap cat,” you would find a picture of me. If you’re looking for a couch potato companion who will constantly surprise you and keep you smiling, I’m the guy for you! It’s the purr-fect time to add a feline to your family – so make an appointment to come and meet me through ProvidenceAC.org/Pets/Bentley. BTW, someone loves me so much, they’ve sponsored my adoption fee!
Purrs & Biscuits,
Bentley

Larry is now Newman! He's very attached and will not let me out of his sight…He is wonderful though, and acts like a puppy! He gets the zoomies, he was afraid of my shadow at night, he started to growl at something on the 2nd fl, so I took him over to investigate. It was my image in the windows! Lol So, I tried a mirror when we got inside, and he was trying to look for himself behind the mirror. He is very friendly to everyone we meet. He's totally housetrained, and already knows when he should be fed. I wanted an emotional support animal, and will be signing up for training classes – who knows? He's doesn't scare easily (Blender, vacuumn & pot dropping didn't phase him). He loves his toys and picked one out at Petsmart. He's already learning to navigate with wheelchairs being around him. I was told he would not wear clothes but he does love his wool jacket – the type that velcros under his belly. So, here is Newman in his booster seat riding in my car!”
