RAFFERTY RESCUE PET OF THE WEEK: Diet Dr. Kelp

July 14, 2023
Hey Ya’ll! My name is Diet Dr Kelp, and it’s so paw-some to meet you! I’m a high-energy young adult fella looking for a furever home to call my own – do you think that could be with you?! My adoption day is what I’ve been dreaming of, so let me tell you a bit about me in case you can make my dreams come true. I am around 6-years-old and a light 31 pounds of bubbly energy! I love string cheese, chasing birds and all human lovies! I enjoy puzzle toys and anything that is going to stimulate my mind because I’m one smart cookie. I prefer to be my family’s one-and-only furkid, and will benefit from a quiet and calm home! I love being brushed and once my hair grows out from my haircut, I’d love to go to the groomer every few months for a little trim. I just learned that I LOVE car rides – here’s hoping the next time I hop in the car will be on my ride to my new home! Come in to Providence Animal Center soon to meet me… We might just be a match! Tail wags,
Diet Dr. Kelp P.S.  Adult dog adoption fees are 50% Thursday, July 13 through Saturday, July 15! That includes dogs like ME! Yippee!

ADOPTABLE PET: Meet Princess Charlotte

July 14, 2023

Princess Charlotte is a brown and white-coated beauty who is happily spending time with her new friends at Providence Animal Center, in Media, while she waits for her forever family to walk through those adoption center doors. This sweet gal loves to hang around her people, and will make an amazing companion to a family of all ages! She loves tasty treats, playtime outside, and most of all, she loves cuddle-time!

If your family is interested in adding a royally wonderful lady to the crew, head over to Providence Animal Center soon to meet this soon-to-be queen of the castle! Princess Charlotte is the packaged deal – she is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations.

Not able to adopt, but interested in helping out pets like Princess Charlotte? Sign up to foster at ProvidenceAC.org/Foster!

ADOPTION SUCCESS STORY: Oaty (FKA Frank)

July 14, 2023
Frank, who is now named Oaty, is an absolute delight. I just want to thank PAC again for helping me find another wonderful cat (I got one of my other cats as a kitten there a little over 2 years ago.) He has adjusted really well and gets along amazingly with our girls – he’s even bonding with one of them, she treats him like he’s her own kitten. Seriously, thank you again PAC for bringing a little piece of furry joy into my and my boyfriend’s life.

RAFFERTY RESCUE PET OF THE WEEK: Greg

July 5, 2023

Well hi there! My name is Greg, and I think it’s pretty paw-some to meet you! I’m a big boy who is looking for an amazing home to call my own – do you think that could paw-ssibly be with you?! I’ve been dreaming of my adoption day, so let me tell you a little more about me in case you can make my dreams come true!

I’m an Philly native, around 6-years-old and around 82 pounds of loveable goofball! I love long walks where I can sniff to my heart’s content and humans who want to give me all the pets. I can be a little shy at first but once I come around I’m very affectionate. I think I would do well in a suburban or non-city neighborhood and could possibly go home with the right doggy sibling, but I’d like to meet the whole family first to see if it’s a match! I do best with kids high-school aged and up and I like ALL scratches, especially on my bum. I also like to act like a cat by leaning into your legs while observing my surroundings. I don’t mind the car so much these days, I just appreciate assistance while getting in. To be fair, I’m pretty big and sometimes it’s hard to get myself up that high. The next time I jump in a car (or try to) I would love for it to be to my Furever home! Come in to Providence Animal Center soon to meet me… I think we’re future besties and there’s only one way to find out!

Sniffies & Cuddles,

Greg

ADOPTABLE PET: Meet Diego

July 5, 2023

Diego is a sweet kitten who is a new addition to the adoptable cat crew at Providence Animal Center, in Media! He is patiently waiting for his purr-fect match while spending his days curiously exploring the cat room, and taking a nice cat nap next to the window. Diego is described by his friends at PAC as a typical kitten who is “curious, fun, and playful”! He could definitely live with the right feline sibling, with a slow introduction. Interested adopters should head over to Providence Animal Center soon to meet him – no appointment necessary!

Diego is the packaged deal – he is up-to-date on his vaccines, neutered, litterbox trained and microchipped.

Looking for other ways to help pets like Diego? Head to Providence Animal Center’s website for a full list of needs: ProvidenceAC.org/Wishlist!

ADOPTION SUCCESS STORY: Nova

July 5, 2023
We love a new addition to the family! Nova seems to be enjoying it too. Her family writes…
Nova is doing beautifully!!! She has adjusted super well to her new life! She was so thrilled to have her own bed and tons of new toys!! She is very well behaved and SO polite!! We are still following through with her heartworm medications and keep activity levels low. But she loves all of the mental stimulation toys we have for her. We have been doing slow introductions to new people one at a time and she is just so friendly. We had one accident in the house (it was within the first 2 minutes of getting to her new home and I think she was just SO excited and peed on the carpet…but that’s exactly why grocery stores sell pet carpet cleaner lol!) but aside from one minor accident that she is perfectly house trained! I have been in contact with her previous foster family and they love the updates!! Nova truly has adjusted so well and is the perfect companion. We’re still learning new commands and routines but she is a fast learner 😊”
Happy forever, Nova!!

PAC's Summer 16 Challenge

June 21, 2023

Take part in PAC’s Summer 16 Challenge by helping our longtimer dogs get a break from the Center! 16 of our dogs have been without forever-homes ranging from 70 to 350+ days – that’s too long for any pet to be without at least a little break!

Taking one of these dogs home on a sleepover for 1-3 nights will not only allow them to get out of the stressful kennel environment, but it will help us get to know how their personality shines by giving them an place where they can unwind, relax, and show us what their future forever-families can expect once they bring them home. Does the dog love snuggling on the couch? Do they love certain kinds of toys and treats over others? How do they do in the car to and from the Center? Bringing a dog home for a sleepover can help answer these questions and allow potential forever families to get to know them better!

Our Summer 16 Challenge is a great option for anyone looking for a furry companion but isn’t in a position to adopt or foster long-term. Also, for these 16 dogs, all their sleepover fees are waived, so you can bring home one of these wonderful pups for a couple of days for free!! Come in today to meet them!

Check out the sweet 16 below:

RAFFERTY RESCUE PET OF THE WEEK: Budders

June 12, 2023

Hey Ya’ll! My name is Budders, and it’s so paw-some to meet you! I’m a laid-back, young gentleman who is looking for a loving home to call my own – do you think that could be with you?! My adoption day is what I’ve been dreaming of, so let me tell you a bit about me in case you can make my dreams come true!

I am around 1.5-years-old and a whopping 75 pounds of lap-dog (or at least I think I fit)! I love string cheese, long walks and humans who want to give me all the pets! I love to sniff and explore, but sometimes I get a little nervous when loud noises happen – but honestly, who doesn’t? I think I would do well in a quiet neighborhood and could possibly go home with the right doggy sibling. I like ALL scritches, especially on my noggin’ and love attention from ALL humans. I don’t mind getting in the car, I just like assistance while getting in, which is silly because I’m huge (hehe). I do hope the next time I hop in it will be to my new Furever! Come in to Providence Animal Center soon to meet me… We might just be a match!

Zoomies & Lickies,

Budders

ADOPTABLE PET: Meet Dottie

June 12, 2023

I'm Dottie! I'm a freckled sweetheart, and new addition to the adoptable dog crew at Providence Animal Center, in Media! I'm described by my friends at PAC as sweet, polite, and tolerant! I would benefit from a home where I can learn new things every day, with a family that loves to dote on me! I just love getting, and giving, love!

Interested in learning more about me? Head over to Providence Animal Center soon to meet me! No appointment necessary. I truly am the packaged deal – I am up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.

Dollar Dog Days: Every other Friday, starting Friday, May 26, all dog adoption fees for pets 6+ months old will be $1 in honor of the Philadelphia Phillies!

ADOPTION SUCCESS STORY: Mason (FKA Rocky)

June 12, 2023
What's better than having a dog or a cat? Having both! Mason's family writes…
“Rocky” is now “Mason” and he is so sweet. He gets along beautifully with my resident dog Lucky. Here are pictures:
Happy forever, Mason!!

RAFFERTY RESCUE PET OF THE WEEK: Allie

June 2, 2023

Hi y’all! My name is Allie and it’s so wonderful to meet you! I’m a bubbly young lady who is looking for my furever family – could that be you?! I’ve been dreaming of my adoption day for some time – let me tell you a bit about me in case you can make my dreams come true!

I’m a southern gal and I’m around 1.5-years-old and 60 pounds of affection and cuddles! I love humans so, so much and playing with kids is one of my favorite things to do! I’m also known to be super gentle with smaller kiddos. I’d prefer if I was the only canine queen in my castle and should not go home with cats – their hissing can scare me sometimes. I love taking walks, especially at night, and I really enjoy doing activities with my tiny humans. I’m a HUGE fan of car rides and I hope the next time I get in a car will be to go home with my new BFFs! I’m currently living it up the most amazing foster home but soon I’ll be hanging out at the Center for a couple weeks. Come in to Providence Animal Center to meet me soon… I think you might want to be my new family!

Belly Rubs & Boops,

Allie

P.S. All adoption fees at PAC will be 50% off Thursday, June 1st through Saturday, June 3rd! My adoption fee was sponsored by someone who loves me so much, so my fee will be WAIVED to the right home for me! Yippee!

ADOPTABLE PET: Meet Lola

June 2, 2023

Hi! I'm Lola! I'm a gorgeous, longhaired, young adult beauty who is patiently waiting for my purr-fect match at Providence Animal Center, in Media! I love relaxing in a comfortable spot, observing the world around me, and gentle head pets. Once I am with a loving family, I would love being pampered with affection and a nice brushing! I am described as low-key, curious and friendly. If you’re interested in learning more about me, head over to Providence Animal Center soon to meet me!

I truly am the packaged deal – I am spayed, microchipped, litterbox trained, and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Not able to adopt, but interested in helping out pets like me? Sign up to foster an adult dog at ProvidenceAC.org/Foster!

ADOPTION SUCCESS STORY: Gucci

June 2, 2023
Hearing about PAC alumni learning and growing with their new forever-families makes our hearts smile! Gucci's family writes…
Gucci is doing just fine and we are loving having her as part of our family. My daughter is doing a great job training her and she is so smart and picks up things quickly. She is keeping us all on our toes with her immense energy!
Happy forever, Gucci!

RAFFERTY RESCUE PET OF THE WEEK: Glen Coco

May 22, 2023

Hey Ya’ll! My name is Glen Coco, and its paw-some to meet you! I’m an energetic young adult who is looking for a loving home to call my own – could that be with you?! My adoption day is what I’ve been dreaming of, so let me tell you a bit about me in case you can make my dreams come true!

I am approximately 2-years-old and 25 pounds of magical jumping beans! I enjoy bird watching by the window, crinkly toys and string cheese! My favorite activities include long walks outdoors, sniffing good smells and exploring! I would really like a home with a yard so I can show off my speed and high-jumps! I enjoy hanging out with some dogs but I’d really like to be the only pupper at home. I LOVE car rides and hope the next time I hop in it will be for my ride to Furever! Come in to Providence Animal Center soon to meet me… I want to be your new BFF!

Sniffies & Lickies,

Glen Coco

ADOPTABLE PET: Meet Kokomo

May 22, 2023

Hi! I'm Kokomo! I'm a gorgeous young adult gal who is currently benefiting from a loving foster home while waiting on my forever family. My foster family says I am friendly, active and intelligent! I love to show off my smarts to earn a tasty treat, going on long walks, and meeting tons of new friends! I am definitely a social butterfly, and could live with the right dog singling in my forever home. I will benefit from a family who can provide me with tons of physical and mental enrichment, and who can’t wait to learn new things every day with me.

Do you think your family is a good match?! Fill out the adoption profile in my bio to start the process at ProvidenceAC.org/Pets/Kokomo!
