Howl-o-Weekend at Providence Animal Center

This weekend starts “Howl-O-Week” at Providence Animal Center.

At 10AM on Saturday, our adoptable cats and dogs will dress up in Halloween costumes and walk a parade up and down the Adoption Center’s grounds. From 11AM-6PM on Saturday, families are invited to bring their children to the Center for trick-or-treat stations in our cat and dog kennels and enjoy a bake sale with cider and hot cocoa. Trick-or-treat stations will also be open on Sunday from 12-5PM. Adoption specials include Pick Your Price adoption fees on all pets homeless 30+ days and “lucky” black animals will have a waived adoption fees. Adoption specials will go on through Halloween, when the Center is open for adoptions from 12-4PM.

Ashley wants to be a witch for Halloween!

Our adoptable animals will also be marching in the 49th annual Delaware County Halloween parade in Media at 2PM on Saturday. The parade will march down State Street to Orange Street and onto Front Street. We'll also be visiting the Daisy's Delights Annual Halloween Parade on Sunday where our vet team will be hosting a low-cost vaccine and microchip clinic from 12-2PM at Eastlake Park, in Ridley Park.

Phantom wants to be adopted for Halloween!

Not looking to add a pet to your family? We'll be running a Click-or-Treating Halloween Hounds and Costume Cats Photo Contest on our Facebook page starting on Saturday, through Halloween. Pet owners are encouraged to dress their pets up and submit one photo per pet to Fans will then vote for their favorites with the click of the “Like” button. The owner of the picture with the most Likes will receive a copy of Providence Animal Center’s 2014 calendar and an ADOPT car magnet.
